I am a psychoanalyst (1996) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (1989) I am Certified in Adult Psychoanalysis by The American Psychoanalytic Association, a Fellow of the American Board of Psychoanalysis, and a Training and Supervising Analyst at the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis. I maintain a private practice working with adults (from age 16), couples and clinical consultation and supervision. Fifteen years working in the inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse services at the Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center taught me a great deal about addiction, psychosis and trauma. I began the study of psychoanalysis at the Colorado Center for Psychoanalytic Studies (1989) and graduated from the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis in 1996. Throughout my career I have had an interest in the teaching and learning of clinical psychoanalytic principles and have been active as a teacher at the VA Medical Center and both the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis and the Residency program in Psychiatry at the CU School of Medicine where I am Associate Clinical Professor. |
